Angela runs up £640 donation

posted in: DIPG, Events, Fundraising, News

Angela Belfast Half MarathonAngela Swinden found out about Katie’s Trust through Alison Easto (Mirren’s auntie) and offered to raise funds for the Trust whilst running the Belfast Half Marathon.  Although Angela has participated in many running events, this one proved to be a real test because she was not well on the day!  Not only did Angela complete the 13-mile course, she also raised a huge £640 in the space of ten days.  A massive thanks to Angela, her husband and everyone who donated through JustGiving (https://www.justgiving.com/Angela-BelfastHalfMarathon/).

posted in: DIPG, Events, Fundraising, News

Cammie cycled the 47 miles from Glasgow Green to Murrayfield last weekend in a fantastic time of 4 hours. It’s even more impressive when you realise he had his dad drafting in his slipstream all the way!!!! Cammie used the cycle to raise £460 for Katie’s Trust – a huge amount by any standards!  Here is Cammie in action –In the lead! Finished!

Join Us In June Update

posted in: DIPG, Events, Fundraising, News

Update on ‘third’ half of Join Us In June – Mirren’s pool party raised £70; £90 from Sweetnam’s Common Riding Breakfast; and a fantastic £220 from Hannah’s Garden Party.  That takes grand total to £6,441 – thanks everyone!
We received an email last week from Dad of a wee girl with a DIPG – thanking us for the money that will allow them to go on a special holiday.  This is the difference that your fundraising makes – thank you.

Update on second half of Join Us In June

The running total stands at £6,061!!

£602 – Christine’s Ladies Lunch raised

£305 – coffee morning organised by Mandy & Jane

£543 – Beetle Drive run by Morag & Claire

£140 – Alix & Iona car boot sale

£380 – Posh Pies

£220 – Jude & the girls held a coffee morning

£110 – Rachel’s walk

£100 – McGraw’s donation

£170 – Mo’s party

And there is still a ‘third half’ – there is still some money to come in and we know of at least two more planned events.
This is great news, especially when you think that a lot of this has been gift aided as well.

A BIG THANKS from all of us for supporting Katie’s Trust.
