Funding update

It’s been a weekend of good news on the funding front.  First of all we managed to get final total of £2,694 for Tap Heavy, which will rise to nearly £6,000 with Santander matched funds and Gift Aid!  A fantastic effort by all the dancers – our thanks again.  And then we opened the mail last night to discover that HMRC had finally paid out on all the Gift Aid accrued since 2010 – cheques worth £4,850! 

Really good news on the heels of our successful AGM this week, and helps keep the Trust in a strong financial position.

Winner of Newcastle vs Swansea tickets

Emma Sowerby is the winner of the pair of tickets to see Newcastle vs Swansea – congratulations!  Thanks to everyone who took part.  Sorry it took a bit longer than expected to announce the winner.

NEWCASTLE UNITED vs SWANSEA CITY

Gary Moore has donated two tickets for the Milburn Stand (Main Stand), Bar 1892 area – a good area with an exclusive bar. On the website they are shown as premium area seats and are situated close to the dug outs.

They are for Saturday 17th December.

Everyone donating £5 has a chance of winning the tickets – you can either donate online at JustGiving or send cash/cheque to Cherrydene.

All donations to be made by 2nd December – winner will be notified on 3rd December

Cheque from Selkirk Rotary

Andrew was invited to Selkirk Rotary Club’s meeting at the County Hotel on Wednesday evening.  After the meal and short business meeting, Andrew accepted a chequ on behalf of the Trust for £1000.  The money was raised from the recent Scocha concert in the Victoria Hall.  Andrew gave a short presentation on Katie’s Trust, recent activities and its main objectives.  Many thanks to Selkirk Rotary Club.

‘Tap Heavy’ in final rehearsals

The dancers only have a couple of rehearsals left before the big show next Wednesday night at Hawick Town Hall.  The ‘girls’ received a boost to their pre-show publicity in the Hawick News – giving them a chance to model the new T-shirts.
