Ken Laidlaw Sportif

Three weeks today we should be looking back on our achievements in the Border hills!  18 hardy souls are tackling the Ken Laidlaw Sportif – either 55 miles or 105 miles on a push bike!  I was out yesterday morning in the mist with the newest member of the team (David Lunn) for a gentle 40 mile training run.  And I will be out with the Edinburgh crew on Tuesday night too.

If you want to catch any of the action on Sunday 21st August then may I suggest the closest thing we have to Alpe D’Huez – The Swire, just outside Ettrickbridge between 10:15 and 11:15 (mile 22 on the map – http://veloroutes.org/bikemaps/?route=62754#)

Pizza’s raise £103

The pizza competition organised by La Contea, Selkirk raised £103 from sales of the 4 final entries.  Fergus was on hand to receive the cheque and meet the winner, Caitlin Branston.  Thanks to Will & Trond for organising the competition.
