Another great weeks for funds!

posted in: Fundraising, News

We were delighted to receive a number of unexpected donations over the last weeks or so.  Currie Primary School raised money by running a French market at the school and Kayla Irvine nominated Katie’s Trust for a donation of £100 – thanks!  We received a further £100 from Hinduja Global Services (aka Careline) who donated their winnings from the Hawick Legion AFC monthly draw – thanks!  Megan’s Dad, Paul, continues to bring in the cash from his guess-the-mileage-in-Scotland competitions on his bus – thanks for the £150!  And finally thanks to Dylan and his pals, who raised £42.30 by selling bags, bracelets and cards at Kirkhope PS coffee afternoon.  Thankyou to everyone who donated!

Great week for funds!

posted in: Events, Fundraising, News

Katie’s Trust was given a tremendous financial boost on Wednesday of last week.  Ann went into Careline in Selkirk to collect the money donated at their dress-down day, and was presented with a cheque for £101.  And then later in the day we learnt that the Lunch in the White Church, Comrie had raised a whopping £940.  There was just enough soup to meet demand, and the baking sold like ‘hot cakes’.
Many thanks to all the employees at Careline; and to Alix, Fiona, Robin, Rory & friends.

Many thanks again to our roving fundraiser – Megan’s dad, Paul.  Paul raised £100 over several ‘guess-the-miles’ sweepstakes on his coach journeys through Scotland.  Cheers!

Leg waxing brings the cash in!!

posted in: Fundraising

Fifth year classmates at Selkirk High School dug deep for Katie’s Trust when Kerr bravely offered to have his legs waxed on last day of term.  Katie W was on hand to do the waxing/inflict the pain – we are all wondering if it was as sore as it sounds?  I am sure that someone will be producing the evidence on FB shortly.  Bruce (aka Beyonce) was doing a brisk trade at the same time with wristbands.  Between them the boys raised a fantatsic £231 – a fantastic effort and thanks to everyone who contributed.
